For those interested in racing, all of our active fleets have weekly racing at their respective clubs. Annually, our Rebel Nationals (Annual National Championship) in July gathers the sailors from all over the country for a three-day event with multiple races each day and social festivities. While some sailors are very competitive, our events are like family reunions for everyone. We encourage new sailors and those with questions to attend so we can help you become a better Rebel sailor. We need people to sail with all the time, so please contact the fleet that is closest to you!
Typically, our racing goes from Memorial Weekend to Labor Weekend at our local lakes for fleet racing. After Labor Weekend, we have three consecutive weekends of racing at Reeds Lake (East Grand Rapids, Michigan), then Clark Lake (Clarklake, Michigan) and lastly at Lake Fenton (Fenton, Michigan). If you love to camp, all of these hosts allow camping. Alternatively, housing may be available with local fleet members. Either way, it's a great way to connect with other sailors and keep the fun times rolling after sailing on the water. Boats may be available to use at events too. Please ask the Fleet Captain or event chair for that regatta!
If other clubs are hosting regattas and would like the information posted here, just let us know!
